Archival Research
The Principal Investigator (PI) and postdoctoral researcher of the project has recently conducted archival research at the Archives of Venice, working with original historical documents.
This research focuses on uncovering valuable sources related to the history of Crete, particularly aspects of salt production and trade during the early modern period in Venetian Crete. The archival material provides important insights into administrative structures and economic networks, contributing to a deeper understanding of Mediterranean socioeconomic history.
